The Under The Spotlight series has seen menswear market leaders scotts celebrate the united worlds of fashion and music, highlighting big names such as Sam Fender, Jax Jones and Jamie Webster alongside the best rising talent. Now it’s Jake Bugg’s turn to step into the spotlight.
Jake Bugg sits down with presenter Louise Schofield in London’s renowned music venue the Old Blue Last. Their engaging conversation finds the singer-songwriter looking ahead to a big 2022, which kicks off next week when he embarks upon his first full UK headline tour in over two years.
He says, “I’m excited to get back in there and play some of the places that we love playing. Before the first lockdown, some of the gigs really went off so hopefully there’ll be more of that this time. It’s been an incredibly tough time for people, and I think people are just happy to be back out and enjoying life again.”
Their conversation also touches upon a variety of subjects, including Jake’s thoughts on last year’s Top 10 album ‘Saturday Night, Sunday Morning’, the ten-year anniversary of his breakthrough self-titled debut album, his evolving sound, and his approach to music videos.
In addition to the interview, Jake also filmed an Under The Spotlight lookbook which will be featured on scotts’ social media channels and displayed in-store. Throughout both, he is sporting a range of new spring/summer designs from the always iconic Adidas, with all items on display available from scotts.
With a #1 album plus another four Top 10 hits, Jake Bugg is an NME Award winner who has also been nominated at the BRITs, the Ivor Novellos and for the Mercury Prize. His headline tour starts in Newcastle next Monday and includes a homecoming show at Nottingham Rock City before culminating in London at the O2 Forum Kentish Town.
