WE’VE CREATED A HINTS AND TIPS GUIDE FOR ALL ARTISTS PLAYING A THIS FEELING SHOW.

1) SKIDDLE ARTIST PAGE
Please all create an artist page on Skiddle so we can add you to the event:
To do this:
- Sign up to https://promotioncentre.co.uk
- Then click https://legacy.promotioncentre.co.uk/artists-overview.php
- Add the artist
- Upload an image of the band.
- Email me when this is done – very important. This should be done as soon as you accept the show offer
Once this is done, your fans will get alerts for when your shows go on sale, thus increasing the awareness of the band and building your fanbase
2) ANNOUNCEMENT AND ONSALE
As soon as the show is announced, DM fans, friends, family etc (basically everyone in your network) get them interacting and sharing it on their socials. If a post gets good views organically it will be seen by more people.
Get them to buy tickets as soon as they go on sale. A sold out sign going up quick can really help create some buzz and get you on peoples radars. We all know that there are folk who buy late, if they miss out then they’ll be the first ones to buy next time. If a show sells out in advance of the gig date, it helps the venue, it makes for a good night and everyone wins.
You should be treating every show you play as though it’s a headliner. You never know who’s there watching you, we’ve had bands get signed to agents, labels and managers at our shows and if it’s quiet for you and you haven’t got a crowd/buzz for you it could be an opportunity missed.
3) NEW MUSIC
Submit new music for consideration for Track of the Day / Best New Bands playlist
Email title: Band Name / Show Date / City & Venue – New Music Submission (Track & Release date)
Within the email, please include a soundcloud link (it must be soundcloud) for the track, a press shot and band blurb.
All acts playing This Feeling with a new release ahead of a TF show will receive a ‘Coming Up’ tweet (27k followers) and insta story (24k followers) so please make sure we are aware of the release and the date at least 2 weeks ahead of the show so we can listen and schedule support.

4) PROMO

Good content, local radio sessions/plays, support from Blogs, send them in or tweet and tag This Feeling.

Some good example tweets are below
Tweet 1
We can turn into Tweet 2 promoting the music and show
5) Network
Get to know the other acts playing with you on the same bill. Make sure that you interact with one another on socials and get to know them. You never know one of them may become the next Red Rum Club, Inhaler, The Lathums, Crawlers etc which may lead to good support slots in the future.
6) Show Day
On the day of the gig, arrive on time for load in, be prompt with your soundcheck and make sure that you watch all acts on the bill.
It’s important to try to get your crowd down from the off. Venues are the lifeblood of the music scene and without them we don’t have places to play. A full house early doors, will get good feedback and if your a band playing outside of your home city it will help you build your fanbase.
